We break down the word “History” into two parts: “Hi” and “Story,”;

this serves as the conceptual starting point for this year’s Nuit Blanche curatorial theme, “Hi Story.”

This linguistic deconstruction is not merely a formal reconstruction but symbolizes a shift in curatorial thinking from one-way interpretation to mutual dialogue,

from authoritative discourse to close participation, and from history itself to establishing a contemporary interactive relationship with history.

n the 10th anniversary of Taipei Nuit Blanche, we choose this way of redefining historical vocabulary to reflect on the trajectory of civic participation and curatorial practice of the past decade.
