Taipei Film Festival
The Taipei Film Festival was the first film festival in Taiwan sponsored by a city.Formerly known as the “China Times Express Film Awards” when first held in 1988, Taipei City Government joined as one of the event organizers in 1998. In addition to setting up the NT$1 million "Grand Prize," the Taipei Film Festival also facilitated the screening of international films during the event period.To increase public participation, the Taipei Film Festival also organizes numerous film-related activities.
